The new surf champion is Carissa Moore. Most recently, she suddenly won the EDP Cascais Girls Pro, which took place in Portugal, and now she has demonstrated everything she can at the main competition.
World tour at its final stage gathered the best surfists on the planet. And it's absolutely not surprising that each one of them tried to show himself on the best side to try to win this cherished victory. But the audience remained somewhat disappointed, because the mature and unpredictable endings didn't work this year.
By the start of the competition, Tyler Wright from Australia was the most dangerous competitor for Carissa. But that's what happened at the world championship that she couldn't get past the quarterfinal barrier. Her dream was overshadowed by Sally Fitzbourbons.
Of course, that news has become pleasant for Carissa. She recognized her at the end of her walk in half-finals, and she was a winner, a new world champion. In an interview, the surfer noted that she was very happy with this event in her sports career, and would be very excited to have a new year to compete with Tyler Wright.
