On 8 and 9 July, the Phontanca-SUP-2017 sapping festival will be held in Petersburg. This year, the event will take place under the theme of Peter's swimming, and the organizers expect a record number of participants. More than 100 people have been registered on the site and 300 are planned.
8 July
The first day of the festival will be a famous carnival parade through the North Capital. The sappiers will dress up in unusual costumes, steal their paddlebards - that's what they call a board for this sport - and go downtown to the joy of viewers and ordinary people.

Carnival starts at 9:00 A.M. The best review on the Ainsk Bridge will be opened at 10 a.m., at 10 a.m., the participants will be on the Lebby Canauke.
The whole route will be artists, and the sapperfers will be on a real drum show. By the way, the distance has to be a little ten kilometers. Festival passes both for newcomers and for gray surfers. The latter will sail along another route, the first phase of the Russian SUP-Serfing Cup will take place among professionals. The athletes will only have an hour, and in that time they'll be six miles away.
After the finish, you can relax a little - for example, at the sap retraction competition.

The second day of the festival will be on the beach of Petropalov's fortress. This is the second phase of the Russian Cup, as well as the bikini defil at the Miss SUP, so we'll see what.
